I just love Ocean or Orbicular Jasper! This form of Jasper is now very hard to find in the desirable colours or with the characteristic orbicular patterning. This is a nice piece with very clear orbicular patterning albeit not the best colouring but then the pricing reflects that!
All the Ocean Jasper originates from two mines 10 miles apart in North Madagascar. Both sources have mined out all the veins with just some really quite poor murky mid green colourations left. Unless another vein is opened up it seems like the current supply is all that there will be. Some old material is now being polished up and re-sold so this is a form which is likely to become increasingly expensive.
This delightful piece shows the lovely pink to brown and cream colourations. Lots of clear orbicular patterning. A sweet piece and I love having Ocean Jasper as part of my personal collection. Its right up there with my Sugilite!

It enkindles a gentle and gradual release of pent-up anger and clears emotional blockage Ocean Jasper can be a variety of colour combinations but should include the characteristic orbicular formations of Feldspar or Quartz. Druzy inclusions are exceptionally desirable and we do search for those for you!
It is a spherulitic variety of Chalcedony with micro-crystallized Quartz colored by oxides, iron and other impurities which make these lovely and eye catching minerals for any home.
