Quite interesting buying this selection of K2. We took delivery of a few pieces that we bought via the internet from a UK wholesaler based on not very clear photographs and had to return them. They were quite a nice mix of shapes and finishes but with just one problem…not K2 (Despite the supplied certificate of authenticity!!). We could tell immediately they were unpacked and returned them. They were Madagascan Azurite in Cleavlandite which had been quite clearly supplied via China with an intention to deceive. Our wholesaler was quite embarrassed when the confirmation came back to them via their original source. A lot of non K2 material is currently entering the UK market.
Anyway we went and picked some lovely pieces from another source we know very well. These are really nice pieces. I love meditating with K2 I find the high vibration terrific for my work with guides and the spirit realm.
K2 is a rare combination stone comprising vivid blue or green spots (Azurite or Malachite) in a granite matrix. Sometimes it is referred to as K2 Jasper but it is not in fact a form of Jasper at all. It originates in the foothills of the mountain K2 in Pakistan and bordering China.
It is a high vibration stone associated with reaching the highest levels of spiritual consciousness through its connection to our Third Eye. Yet the granite component is a strong grounding stone so it brings balance and harmony. K2 can be used in meditation and is believed to grant access to the Akashic records. Used in healing where calmness, inner strength and centered grounding is needed.
K2 is a wonderful connector of people bringing together groups into harmony and encouraging balanced, harmonious communication amongst individuals.
